ROM update

so i went to HTC's website and there is a "newer" version on their site than whats on my phone, i have build # of: 1.56.651.2 then one on the site is 2.73.405.5

should i update this?

This seems like something for the GSM version of the HTC Hero, not the CDMA version. You might have better luck finding answers in the in forum called "HTC Hero" instaed of this one, which is called "Sprint HTC Hero"

NO DO NOT USE THAT SOFTWARE!!!!!!! It is for the GSM Hero! U will have a paperweight! There is no official update from HTC for the Sprint Hero. It will not be available until they OTA it.
