What can we do, now that we are officially 2.1?

So now that we are officially 2.1 update1, what things can we do that we couldnt before?

We all know about the list of normal changes (Music Player, Pinch to zoom, 3D gallery, live wallpapers, etc), but what else is there.

The only thing I know we can do now that we couldnt on 2.01:

- Google Earth (can DL via market now)

I've tried to download some live wallpapers (like Nexus Mod) but they just FC.

I'd love to have a working 3D launcher now..but Helix2 is also broke for me.

What else is there, what else do we want?

Uhm...my wifi works? . But I think it will take awhile for developers to now make some awsome apps (like an actual working 3d launcher) and roms now that everyone is finally on 2.1.

This is why I haven't updated, and won't. Since rooting I've had everything the OTA 2.1 has. I don't see anything in the update that seems worthwhile? If they had added BT voice-dialing I would have updated.

I'm just going to wait until the ROM gurus take the update and make some new ROMS that are even faster than what I have now. Knowing how fast they work, that'll probably be by lunchtime.

Fabolous started a thread yesterday mention a baseband update that isn't in the previous ROMs. he seemed to think that alone was worth the update.

Don't know what happened on your phone but I went ahead and downloaded a couple live wallpapers from the market after seeing your post, they all works well on my phone.

For your reference, the wall papers I downloaded are:

Shake them All
EarthRot
Fireworks
RedEye Scanner
StarField


P.S I use OpenHome as the default launcher.

Update: I tried the NexusMOD and it FC on me too, I guess that specific one is not compatible with the Droid 2.1 update

Nah, the NexusMOD lwp doesn't work on most of the custom roms either.
And neither does the 3d launcher. The only good launcher is the original or the Helix 1 launcher ... at least imho.

And whoever asked for the original N1 lwp, that's posted all over the place - though you need to be rooted to replace the appropriate file.

It is the Earth Live wallpaper. It shows up as EarthRot when you look under Live Wallpapers.

Complain about how none of the 2.0.1 apps are no longer working on 2.1. Funny how people made such a ruckus about not getting 2.1 when they don't realize that some apps won't work on it until they're updated. So yeah, let the complaining about how many apps don't work on 2.1 now that you've updated to it!
