(I apologise in advance for the long post but please bare with me here!) Hey, I'm completely new here so please give me some slack! I've read tons of posts on this topic but I am really struggling to put all the information together. Basically, I have a HTC Wildfire S and bought it pretty recently. But, the internal memory is really bad and being a bit of a perfectionist I hate having all these system apps I don't use as well. I realise that you have to root your phone to get rid of them, but I've never had anything to do with all this jailbreaking stuff so I'm finding it really confusing. I get that you need to back up your stuff (done) and then I've read about some pre-rooting stuff, like finding out about your phone to determine the root process you need to use or something like that. But the power and volume down button thing doesn't work for me. I also get that it renders your warranty useless (don't mind) and that it can brick your phone but can be fixed? I would just really appreciate it if someone could give me a guide on how to root my phone and remove system apps and that's really all I want to do, no ROMs or anything. I've also read something about one click rooting? If this is an easy way to root, please explain it to me? I am really sorry for the long post but any help really is appreciated. Thanks!
