Little help here guys

I bought my droid on opening day  and have not rooted (possibly in the future) however I want to know if i can change my notification sound for my text messages (incoming) without haveing to root my phone. I use Ringdroid (app) to make all my ringtones and that is easy for making ringtones for calls, however i cannot find a way to add new sounds to my notification sound list. Can i somehow access the droids actual internal memory to add notification sounds (not sd card) without rooting?

Wow guys... overcomplicate much?

Make a new folder on your SD card. Title it "Media".

Inside the media folder, make another folder called "Audio".

Inside that folder, make another folder called "Notifications".

Place any mp3s you want to use for your notifications inside that folder. Viola, you are done. No downloading of apps, no special tricks or tactics. Its that simple.

Incidentally, if you want to change your ringtones or alarms, just make folders inside the "Audio" folder and title them "Ringtones" and "Alarms", respectively.

(Just like square said. :) )
