Help Pink display problem

I just got my at&t nexus one the other day and greys definitely have a pink hue. You can really notice it in the gmail app. Looks like a 'miscalibrated' or defective screen :(

Edit: just called HTC nexus one support. They said they are aware of the issue and it will be fixed in the next update.

Yup, the light greys (ie in the message area of this forum) have a pink hue.

I have a pic of a Hero, Samsung Spica nd the desire all showing the same page and the issue stands out a mile.

BUT only noticeable if what ever you look at has light grey shades. Otherwise everything else seems OK.

Likely a driver issue, as had similar on a Nokia which was fxed by a FW update.

I haven't noticed the pink hue at all. It's very very slight on my phone and only noticed it when comparing with another phone.

In my opinion it's a non issue.

^^ this!

It's only noticeable on lowest brightness, doesn't bother me that much, even if it was never 'fixed'. Turn the brightness up and compare it to an iPhone screen, amoled wins hands down!

Gmail is supposed to be a bit pinkish grey when you look at this pic.

I have read that HTC confirmed this problem with Desire and they are trying to resolve it.

Reply from HTC:

Right, I have just received an email from HTC after emailing them for a second time regarding the pink discolouration on my device. And here it is:

Thank you for contacting us.
In regards to Pink discoloration in the device, I can help you with that.
It is a hardware issue, however it doesn't affect any features or device functionality.
HTC is working to solve this issue. Then, you might need to exchange your phone...
I trust that this resolves your query, please do not hesitate to contact us again if required.
Thank you for contacting HTC.

Best regards
Anyone else noticed the problem?
