Adding contacts in K9 mail

What is the easiest way to add email addresses in K9 mail? Do I manually need to enter each email address in my contacts list or is there a way to copy my contacts from my PC or MAC?

export the contacts to a .CSV File, put said file on your SD Card and mine just added them all to my contacts list with no further instruction
or log into Google on a PC/Mac and upload the file to your contacts there, it will sync to your phone.

It works off of your phone contact list (Google or Moxier). Do you have any there?

Not sure how to export contacts to CSV and then add them to Google. Can someone explain?

sure thing, what program are you trying to pull them from?

Lets use outlook as an example.
File, Import/Export, Export to a file, Comma Seperated Values (windows), Select folder to export from will be contacts, make note of where its saving the file, next and finish. Now you have the CSV File

Log into your google account, click on contacts then import, select your file Press import. Now they are in google about to sync to your phone.

Most of my business contacts are in MAC Mail V 3.6

Give this link a whirl, it has something called Addressbook to CSV Exporter, sounds like its just what you are looking for with a MAC

K9 Mail pulls the contacts from the contacts on your phone so now you just upload them to google.

Log into Google, click on Contacts, Import, hit the browse button to find your CSV File and press import. It should then sync to your phone.

That is the MAC mail. K9 has been working great and I can add contacts of folks that send me emails. I would like to have my complete address book on my phone. I now have all of my contacts in Gmail on my phone but they do not show up in K9 mail.

Well, I'm not sure what to do from here then, maybe someone else can chime in.
I was under the impression that if you got them all into your phones contacts list then K9 would just pull it from that list (I'm unaware of any other list its able to pull from).
Maybe you can force another sync on your phone, reopen K9 and they will be there after the forced sync?

Anyone else have an idea?

I was able to import them into my phone contacts from the SD card. Worked great. Thanks for all of the help.

OK still a problem. I can't seen to get K9 mail to link the the phone contacts. How do I get K9 mail to use the phone contacts in the to field?
