It seems to always cast blue tint for first five seconds on opening the camera app. So you need to wait a while for it to go away or take second shot for better white balance. And this camera seems to really struggle with white balance, exposure under low lighting. I know photography but it's very hard to get decent clear shots of people in low light indoors.
We can't really deny this camera is subpar, so so, at least with stock camera app. In my Gnex days, I saw ton of complaints on its camera. But most of them were coming from HTC or Samsung, not Moto phones. Gnex camera is not great on low light either, but it's better than RHD at focus and exposure I think. Still Motorola has quite bit of works to do on camera IMO.
