Eris end of life

All phones get EOL at some point. There is obviously a reason you bought it and use it. As long as it is meeting your needs, then where does the problem part come in?

I suppose the same thing could have been said when the Pentium 4 rolled out or when 5 megapixel digital cameras rolled out, or I dunno, pick ant instance of a product upgrade.

But hey, it's not all bad news. My good friend Denis Leary has a nice bit of advice for people who are just unhappy with things in this world: "Life sucks, buy a helmet." sage advice!

That's so true! blackberries are boring... I found that out 3 times. There are absolutely no free apps what so ever. I couldn't stand it. Lmao they got apps that are 300$. an os isn't that exciting... Pretty boring imo.

I had the curve and was very bored with it after 3 days. Ive only had the Eris for 2 weeks and i love it

I'm not sure i understand the link between the blackberry and the droid eris. Am i missing something here? I was under the impression the Droid Eris was made by HTC and the Blackberry is made by RIM. I'm sorta new here so maybe this is a stupid question but humor me and clue me in on why these products are linked.

Looks like desire to me, but I have to admit I've seen the part number assigned to both phones on 3rd party sites. Couldn't find the part #s on the HTC site.
Any clue to what is up with this discrepancy?
