Thread titles...

I'm sure I'm not the only one who, upon searching for a particular subject, gets frustrated with all the threads that are labelled with things like:
"A question about the Milestone" or "I'm really confused" or "New to the Milestone".

It would be far more helpful if we could put some hint of the actual subject in the thread title more like:

"Email not working" or " Error on sync" or " How can I see how much memory I have" etc.

Saves a lot of useless clicking (and waiting) for threads that have nothing to do with what we are looking for.
I know we have a search option, but sometimes it's hard to come up with a word or phrase that gets us where we want to go.

It's more fun to browse anyway.:)

But, as the forum grows it begins to take a long time to get through a thread.
It would be a lot faster without all the dead ends.

Hope I'm not offending anyone, it's nothing personal, just throwing out a suggestion.

Decent thread titles will also make it easier to find threads again later, assuming you don't subscribe to all the ones of interest.

The OP would find they get more responses if they had a more detailed subject heading too.
in theory...

but in reality a more descriptive thread title yields less views as "curiosity always kills the cat" when it comes to human nature.

people will always click a thread that they have no idea what it's about (thread with poor title) and avoid a thread that they have no interest but have a clear idea about (thread with good title).

i find some people purposely put bad titles.

In fact, the irony in this thread lies in ITS thread title. Instead of putting "Can we all please use more descriptive titles for threads?" it merely says "thread titles" which is pretty useless also.

but had it been descriptive i would've just skipped the thread and moved on attributing it to a rant of some sort. but because it wasn't clear to me at first what the thread is about i decided to check it out and subsequently waste 5 minutes reading through it and responding to it! lol
