HelixLauncher, Clutter, & Weather Widgets

I just thought that I would share the differences with my home screen between sense and helix. The bottom bar on helix is perfect, and can be used to change the default dialer and still have it 'stuck' on the bottom. Helix gives you a lot of space to clean up, and you can add/remove screens and get rid of clutter. If your a freak about the layout of your phone, like me, you should really give helix a try.

The only thing I miss is the HTC animated weather widget, is there any way it could be ported over?
They obviously use a different source for the actual weather information, but I don't think the HTC weather widget is that integrated into sense that it wouldn't work on helix...Can anyone explain why it doesn't (or so far hasn't been ported)?

Wow, yeah it does. Is it animated though?

Also, does anyone know how I can maybe pull the widget from the phone with the SDK? Do you need root for that?

I read another thread where the person got into an endless reboot cycle, but I want to try to mess around with it anyway, I like experimenting and I'm still learning android.

I have weather widget donate, but i cannot get the white flip with black numbers like HTC has. I can get a flip clock, but it's dark numbers with a see-through background.

Does that have skins that you could edit maybe?

I'm more after the weather widget animation. Does anyone have an .apk for that, I can't find a site online that I trust/actually has it/doesn't require registration.

Is that widget even an .apk file?

Get the Weather bug widget. It's a LOT better than HTC and it would fit nicely right under your clock

that can be edited if you really needed to. you can open up the .apk and change the png images, resign it and reinstall

It's not that big of a deal. I have beautiful widgets too. I'm just working on my battery life. My awake time has been through the roof and it's only since installing Helix, Beautiful Widgets, and Weather Widget Donate.
