Password Protect Gmail - How??

Hi All,

I can't seem to find a way to make Gmail ask me for a password each time i click on the icon [bottom right-hand corner] when there is an email alert.

Whenever I touch the icon, it simply goes straight into my gmail account. I want it to ask for a password, so that if my friends or GF uses it, they can't access my gmail account.

Do you mean via the tablet? Once you get in gmail, then by selecting "settings"???

If so, I tried but can't see any options to do this.

im eager to find this out too. i got the hotmail app and found an option in the settings for a password but when i ticked it and closed the app and reopened it again,it went straight to my inbox withouf a password.

theres no way im gonna use an e-mail app thats wide open for anyone who uses your tab to get straight to your inbox without any restriction.
