One of my favorite things about the release of the Incredible is FINALLY a phone that is better or worse case scenario on par with the Iphone in everyway hits Verizon.

It's on! AT&T & Jobs are going to get a rude awakening that is for sure! I like how AT&T whom has sat on their hands regarding a system improvment is now advertising that they are spending Billions to improve it. I hope that Job's gets off his ass and moves the Iphone over to Verizon so we can officially say buh bye to AT&T!!!

The Incredible will be snowed over by the iFools and their blogs so it won't make a difference. For instance the Droid was outselling the initial iPhone. But yet you still have folks like one of my coworkers that only checks out Apple centric news that thinks Android has failed and is going away. I read some random blog about artistic design the other day where the guy referenced Android indirectly as a failed clone of the iPhone.

You'll have tons of reviews praising the Incredible only to end with "the iPhone is still better". They don't even try to give the lame reasons they used to anymore. They just say it and let it stand. Yes the Incredible will probably sell VERY well but the iFools will cover it up. I think the real smackdown will come when the Incredible, EVO and possibly Galaxy S are on the market and the sales can't be denied or when Verizon gets an iPhone and we start seeing that launch days for iPhones on Verizon are no larger if even as large as launch days for Android devices. In fact the latter I truly believe is why Apple hasn't released an iPhone for Verizon yet.

More than anything I just hate AT&T. Shitty customer service and frustating terrbile reception. Arrogance that they did not have to invest money in their system to improve coverage since the drug called the "Iphone" would permit them to do so. I actually like the Iphone but with the Voice to text, awesome navigation of the Android now going to a phone that is slim, lightwieght and awesome screen!? Love it! I have the Droid right now but will be chucking the klunky brick for the Incredible.

You realize that thats a comparison of the $599 non-3G iPhone in June 2007 on AT&T compared to the $199 Droid (3G) in December 2009 on Verizon... right?

If you compare the Droid sales to the iPhone 3GS sales in July 2009, the iPhone 3GS sales blow the Droid away.

The Droid took 74 days to sell 1 million. The iPhone 3GS sold that in its first weekend.

+1 AT&T sucks big time. Sold my iPhone 3Gs on E-Bay, and never looked back. Android is the future of mobile devices.

also though I am an android fan I should point out that the incredible, when released late april will arguably be better than only the 2009 iphone 3gs. In june apple will be releasing the 2010 iphone with probably better screen, better processor etc.

Whats scary is that at 600mhz,with iphone 4.0 with multitasking the 3gs is a strong contender against the incredible, what will happen when the iphone gets 1ghz processor?

I'm hoping google has an answer

Again I agree and think the Iphone is a nice phone. However I HATE AT&T! With all that being said lets think about this... a phone that is ok at best but "similar" to the Iphone hits Verizon (Moto Droid) and it sells like hot cakes. I will put money on it that the Incredible and any upcomming version that is similar to it in size, weight etc.. will blow away the sales of the Moto Droid. I think allot of people are out there like me. We all want a phone that has capable Iphone features (Better in the case of 2.1 Android imo) to hit Verizon! **** AT&T and their shit reception. I can't think of one of my freinds that brags about how good AT&T is on their Ihpone.

DOWN WITH AT&T!!!!

You can't compare the iPhone 3GS sales because many of those were people who upgraded from the previous iPhone. If the Droid was the only Android phone out there and then had a new version every year you might have the same phenomenon. Had the iPhone not been $599 I still think you would have had skeptics for its first launch. Every iPhone launch now is on the back of the proven original concept.

Hey... leave us AT&Ters alone. Besides if AT&T folds Verizon's prices will skyrocket. Competition is need to keep things in check. As for AT&T's service... They actually have been improving their network over the years. I can attest to that as I REALLY hated their service at first and it has gradually gotten better with time. As for customer service? Wow, that's an epic failure on Verizon's part, at least from a billing standpoint. I've known so many people now that have been sent to collections by Verizon for bills that have been paid. Some have even been paid twice and were sent to collections again a few years later. Verizon's billing is almost as bad as the medical field's.

Toot your Verizon horn all day if you'd like, in terms of 3G they're still in 2nd place :)

Edit: My bad... make that 4th place.

Yeah, except for at my work. My friend has an iphone and can't even send a text message from inside the building, let alone surf the web. Meanwhile, one person has a Storm2 and another has the Droid and they're running at full speed. Way to go AT&T.

Also, I used to have AT&T. Constant dropped calls and late texts. I once got a text 4 DAYS, not hours but DAYS, after it was sent.

You aren't figuring the position the economy has been in during the droid's beginning and life. It's still not apples to apples. ;)

ATT didn't "sit on their hands" their hands were in Jobs' pockets. They had to spend their money keeping the iPhone and trying to keep up with the bandwidth iPhone users leech off every month.

Not sure I was bragging about anything... simply stating facts and personal accounts. Also notice at the bottom of my post that I said it would be subjective based on location.

How about this... I'll enjoy my AT&T Bloatware and 3G speeds while you enjoy your Verizon coverage and billing issues.

The Incredible is only 3/100 of an inch slimmer than the Droid and the screen probably wont be as nice as the Droids. I will give you light wieght even tough the Droid is metal and the Incredible is plastic. (I worry about how it will hold up to my abuse)

Maybe you should add: Faster Processor, Better Camera, FM Radio(maybe), Wireless N(maybe), 8 gb Internal Memory, More App Storage Memory, More Ram, .......

Unfortunately, the people on these forums only make up a small percentage of Android customers. I believe if the new iPhone comes to Verizon this year Android will suffer. There are thousands if not millions of people using Android and WM devices that are foaming at the mouth for a Verizon iPhone release. If Verizon gets the iPhone Android and AT&T will slowly die. I say this as an Android enthusiast and not an Apple fan boy.
