Help please!!!!!

Hiya Everyone I am new to the Forum I am not new to the G1. I have had a G1 rooted with cyanogens latest firmware
and themes etc.

Here is my dilemma.

It was stolen or lost I dont know what happened.

I have a G1 that well i should say is in bad shape.

I have "NO RECOVERY SCREEN" this means that I CANNOT Alt w, Alt s, or Alt L. Which in turn means that I cannot make use of anything called "update.zip"

When i press home and power it comes to the RGB screen which i assume is the fastboot screen.

Camera and power takes me to bootloader.

I have tried probably 50 times to install firmware for rc 29 and rc 30 all these attempts have failed. and the updates have been terminated.

I have formatted my sd evertime i have tried to update. i have downloaded soooo many Dreaimg.nbh files that i see them in my sleep.

any ideas on what to do so i can get the phone up and running? I dont care if the phone is back to stock i just need it working.

Try this ....

Extract it from the zip ... and DO NOT RENAME IT !!!

the zip is approx (45MB)

DREAIMG.nbh (approx 89Mb)
This is the NBH file needed to roll back to RC29 <<< this restores the security hole which allows root access..

THIS file is the starting point for Going Rooted or Going back to LEGIT ...


Step 1)

- Format the Micro SD Card to FAT32.
- Copy the DREAIMG.nbh file to the Micro SD Card. (NOT A ZIP FILE)
- With the phone off, hold camera and press power to boot into the bootloader.
- Once the bootloader is loaded, press power to install.
- Press the trackball to continue and press talk+menu+power to reboot.

Your phone may now be able to update OTA ... but you will probably need to complete the remaining steps in the UNROOT guide in my signature ...

But the above along should have return the phone to the state a G1 was in out of the box on Oct 21, 2008
