Root running hot

I'm using jrummys remix with the default kernal and no overclock (it suxs dad won't let me). I am runng it at from 39-46 celcius is this hot. If so what do I do.

If you're getting those temperatures with no OC then yes it is hot.

However, Are you sure JRummy's comes without an OC kernel?

That is nothing to be concerned about. You have plenty of room to go before you need to worry. When I put a lot of stress on my phone (playing a graphic intense game, navigation, browsing, while charging) my system gets a lot hotter. You can alway play with different kernels and different speeds but right now you are doing fine. If your phone stayed past 50c while being idle (still nothing that would fry your phone) or at a low speed I would say it is time to experiment more. More importantly, how is your battery holding up? If your battery is draining excessively fast it would also be time to try something else.

setcpu is pretty important, even if you're not overclocking. it let's you set up profiles for standby, which will underclock the processor when you're not using it. this will result in lower idle temperatures as well as better battery life.

Some phones cant handle 1200ghz so it might not be a good idea to run it at that speed all the time. Still if he will not let you have SetCPU nothing much you can do about it.

Just got setcpu on xda forjums free so I have gthe fail safe profile set up and max at 800 so far I'm at 30-35 celcius so I'm doing fine
