Nope. I've used T-mobile branded, Zagg, and Ghost Armor polymers and I've found Ghost Armor to be the easiest to maintain. If I were using a case like this Spigen though I would probably give a glass screen protector a try.

From my previous reviews of S4 cases from Spigen, including Neo Hybrid (which btw - make sure to purchase ONLY from Spigen directly on Amazon or eBay store, you will see a ton of knock offs within days from CH, Spigen manufacturers their stuff in Korea), it does look sharp and offers an OK protection, but NOT the best protection because they make lip to be too shallow. It barely covered a thickness of their own tempered glass screen protector and they had 2 versions of screen protector, one with a reduced thickness.

Reduced bezel will be a challenge in a design of the case. Tempered glass is one of the best options for display protection, I had my VITREO on Note 2 since spring time and can't imagine any other way. Just my opinion, which is based on a ton of my own reviews Without a doubt, Spigen cases and screen protectors are TOP NOTCH, but keep in mind that you could be locked into their ecosystem because from S4 experience other tempered glass screen protectors didn't work with Neo case, and even some regular quality screen protector were a bit too tight on the edges. Don't know if it's going to be the same with N3, but my advice is to not rush into plopping premium pre-order price but rather buy a few $1 TPU cases from ebay to hold you over once you get a phone, and do more research once a phone is released to compare other cases and hands'on reviews. In general Spigen, Seidio, UAG, Case-Mate, and Trident will be the way to go.

Spigen never made tempered glass screen protector for Note 2. If you got something with a Spigen label off ebay from HK, it's probably fake. Note 2 display is curved toward edges. Tempered glass is thick and not as flexible, thus it will not stick well to the edges, so Spigen just bailed on that. MIME was another company which failed with 1st attempt and then got is kind of right with 2nd. Seidio VITREO got it right but at a expense of shrinking the glass profile to cover only visible part of the display, not the bezel part.

IMHO, tempered glass provides the best experience for your display where it feels just like a native glass, it's super clear and smooth to touch, and gives you shatter protection with 9H hardness rating.

As much as I'm on a fence about Note 3 upgrade since I still feel my Note 2 does everything I need, I want to get Note 3 just to test all the latest accessories with it I probably will have a review unit from Verizon for about a month once it's available; will try to align all case reviews around that time to post it here in the forum

I'm using a Spigen SGP Slim Armor in Slate Gray on my Galaxy S4. Of all the cases I've bought for my various phones, this is by far the best.

If I decide to sell the S4 and buy a Note 3, I've already decided I'm putting a slim armor on it.

On my Note 2 I use a flip cover AND and screen protector. But I'm pretty OCD.

The Galaxy S4 is Gorilla Glass 3, strangely the Note 3 is not.

I find that fact quite puzzling.

My take on screen protectors is that you have 2 types of protection. With a regular peta film one (talking about quality 3H hardness from reputable companies) you get a basic scratch resistance type of protection. It will be thinner but at the expense of a more plasticy feel, some trade off in touch sensitivity, and in some cases a subtle rainbow effect under fluorescent lights. And if you drop your phone and it hits a screen on uneven surface - your screen will crack. With a 2nd type of protection, you use a tempered glass which supposed to give you the best sensitivity and clarify, easier to wipe off fingerprints (trust me, even oleophobic screen protectors collect fingerprints since the coating will wear off after awhile), and a superior impact protection where glass will shatter leaving display safe. But a trade off is a thicker glass layer and no guaranteed scratch resistance, plus a much more expensive. In theory tempered glass will have at least 9H hardness rating, but after awhile even that get scratched when you have your phone in the pocket with other junk. Plus, a lot of cases are made with a thinner lip just enough to keep the display off the surface when you place the phone down, and having a thicker tempered glass makes it stick out.

If you are putting your phone into something like OBEX case - you don't really need extra screen protection. But, for example, Seidio passed on Obex for N2 (but have it for S3/S4) and most likely will skip N3 as well because they don't know how to handle S-pen port opening. If you are looking for Defender, we all know how well their plastic protector worked with N2 lol!!! For any other open face cases, I would strongly recommend either film or glass screen protector. For ultimate, go with tempered glass but do research about which case you want to use it with. As I mentioned before, N3 has a small bezel, might be a challenge for a design. As a minimum, look into a film screen protector where Spigen is always a top choice.

You can always replace a battery cover, but scratches on display will stay there staring in your face especially when N4 is released and you want to list your N3 "in mint condition"

But if you want to play russian roulette with a display, go bareback

Therefore I developed a practice of dedicating my left front pocket as the place I carry my phone and nothing else. It's a terrific solution that has served me well. That plus carrying a small microfiber cloth to use during the day keeps my phone fingerprint and smudge free.

I never felt the need to use a screen protector either. It takes away from the actual real feel of the phone. Every smart phone I've had I treated like it was my 3rd arm. I protected it! And I mos def don't let kids plays with my devices

I'll be purchasing the Spigen Slim Armor model just like I have on my S4. I've been checking Spigens site daily, the price has not changed. It's $29.95

I will buy it from Amazon who typically will discount it between 20 - 30% from day one. I paid $14.95, no tax or shipping for the one on my S4.

for a film protector you like Speigen? On an old HTC I used a zagg, and while it protected the screen, it really felt bad on the fingers. The HTC Touch Pro II I had, also had a stylus, and it just didnt slide over the zagg that well. Would a N3 stylus "slide" easily over a film protector? until today I never heard of a tempered glass protector.

For my droid bionic, I never used any protector, and 2+ years its lasted just fine (until I forgot it in my pocket and took a swim). Maybe its the gorilla glass on the bionic. If N3 doesn't have gorilla glass on it.. what does it have? surely with many other Samsung phone using it.. they should right? What type of glass is on the Note 2?

What do you guys think of the Spigen Neo Hybrid ($34.99 on Amazon) vs the Slim Armour. The Neo Hybrid looks even more form fitting. Sort thinking that might be good, and as mentioned earlier if the phone was placed display down, the screen would not be touching.
