Root [T-Mobile] Root T-Mobile Galaxy S4

First, I know I am an idiot on the GS4, so please do not flame me. Also, I just registered so I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

I just got this new GS4. I wish to root it to get rid of bloatware installed.
1) Is there anyone in Las Vegas, (where I live) who can root my phone for me? I do not mind paying for their time.
2) If no is the answer to Q1, then is there any Idiot's Guide to Rooting a GS4? I mean one that is specific to this T-Mobile phone.

I hope there is someone who can guide me to this. I have owned a Smart Phone for 2 years, and just upgraded to this one, so I understand where many of the Settings are, but I am still learning this phone.

Like slug pointed out the rooting process is very easy trust me I did it myself lol follow the guide to root with using twrp and Odin the instructions are very easy to follow let us know good luck.

You should have tried rooting the T-Mobile G2/HTC Desire Z..... that had to be done via ADB commands and involved rewriting a particular partition. Get it wrong and you were left with a paperweight.

p.s. glad to see that Chainfire is still working his magic. He rooted my S2, removed the SIM lock (and the pesky yellow triangle), and his Mobile Odin has saved my bacon more than once. He's a true Android legend.

Honestly the process is really easy to do. I rooted mine within the first 15 minutes of owning the phone. and havent needed to unroot since then (May 2013). So good luck and let us know if you have any questions!

It's the easiest rooting process of any android device I've rooted(well except for the short period of time where the Asus TF101 had a one click rooting app, I actually rooted a tablet on display at Best Buy)
I had my GS4 rooted and custom ROM flashed within 15 minutes after getting home from the Tmobile store

Thanks to the great bunch of users here, I was able to root my phone. It only took me about 3 hours of sweating and worrying but it is done! I finally went to the following website and got the download package for my phone (I am sure that this was in the posts you all wrote)... and then it was easy! The video on YouTube that Mark posted also helped greatly. Thank you all!

Great. Glad you're part of the team. When you're ready to venture out, there are quite a few ROMs listed in the all things root guide. There are a few others in the xda forum also.
I'm using Infamous 8.0 myself. Freaking awesome ROM dude. For a TW rom this baby rocks the house. Just by itself it kicks butt. I have an extra kernel & v6 supercharger that comes with the rom, & I'm getting on the web faster than my laptop lol.
But it's all about what "you" like & what your phone likes too lol. I've learned that over the past year: no 2 phones are alike. What tweaks work for me may not work for you.
"ALWAYS" make a backup of what you do have that works & just go out from there. That way what doesn't work you can always go back & start over. Have fun, & remember that there are no dumb questions. You get stuck don't hesitate to ask.

1. Make a recovery backup - it is important
2.There is a program on the app store called Titanium Backup. The free version should work on removing the apps
3. Download
4. Give it root permission
5. Click Backup/Restore Tab
6. Find the app you want to delete
7. Click on it and press uninstall.

Enjoy your Phone having less bloat!!!!

Or you can install infamous rom and have no bloat and an open rom which works nicely and saves battery. If you need help on that let me know!

I use rom toolbox pro for a lot of things. But for deleting any apps I use a rootable file explorer.

As far as which apps to delete, that would depend on what you don't use

It's also worth noting that just because you don't use an app doesn't mean you want to delete it. Some apps require access to other apps in order to function (sometimes at all). IIRC, XDA developers (unfortunately I can't find a link for you at the moment) had a list of what apps are "safe" to remove.
