[Verizon] Would you like a tasty Kit Kat?

The 11/5 update is smoother than the 11/2 update and there have been less freezes and reboots but they are still there. The black boxes are still seen inside google search and on Chrome occasionally. The little graphical glitches are still there in the 11/5 build but this appears to have improved. I think this will work as a daily driver if you are willing to put up with those issues. UI feels pretty smooth for this being such an early build. I haven't tried the other 4.4 ROMs and I think I'll stick with this one for the time being. I'm really thinking Google should have put out a build for this device just to show that lower spec'd phones can handle it...I know VZW's Gnex wouldn't have benefited from it...but it would have been nice for developers to work off of if nothing else.

Hmm, was going to upgrade to the 11/5 build but looks like I lost root. Guess it helps to read the directions.
yes, reading ALL of the directions is very important with that ROM. Cant just assume that you know what you are doing. :)
This is the link people should really be following if flashing for the first time:

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/36706-ro...roid-431-jls36i-no-bugs/page-841#entry1504882 (even though it says pretty clearly in the OP link, to go to that^^ link first) :)
The rom comes unrooted out of the gate, flashing superuser after flashing the rom is necessary for root; some users report the rom is more stable without root.

the reason he says it is bug free is because every function of the phone works. The only real hang up is the graphical issues, which is possibly related to the random reboots and hanging.

Yeah the two things I noticed with the 11/2 build was a few random reboots and graphical issues with locking/turning off the screen. Gives me a scrambled look...
11/5 Build still does the latter. Don't use it enough to notice the reboots yet though. Did get root back easily enough.
Same here, I have not rooted back to 4.3 yet but will soon. Can you receive calls on 4.4?

Folks just a heads up, do NOT enable ART (over Dalvik) in Developer Options. You'll get everything FC'ing. It's not stable for custom ROMs yet. I learned the hard way.

Codec, I've had to reflash the SU.zip a couple times to get root back:
xda-developers - View Single Post - ShinyROM [AOSP 4.4] KRT16M (No mods, completely stock!)
On android 4.3? I think somethng is wrong I have tried serveral times to root using the toolkit and Wi-Fi is not working for some reason.
