android os using excesive data

Have read threads and other posts online.. still cannot figure out how to stop the android os from using data.. to the tune of 793mb last month.. and already 202 in the last two days. This is very frustrating!! It all started after I updated to ice cream sandwich..any thoughts??

Have you recently installed any apps that may use data?
Probably Google Music.
