Root (Port) Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel )

You will have to flash the DOTS Rom again.... Flashing a New BOOTLOADER wipe the System.... Meaning it's blank & you have no Operating system at all.

Ok it should go like this 1. bootloader&phone 2. OPS&PDA is that correct? And I did a backup with Appmanager so if I go back to DOTS and do a restore from the backup will I be putting back the problems with the dialer I had from the first flash to the new one.

likely it's the Sdcard need formatted... Doing so just fixed another user that had the same issue.. The dailer store stuff on the sdcard & could have a corrupt file..

I wish I could do that but I have a lot of music and movies on the sdcard with backup of my app's. Do you by chance know the name of the folder where it stores it maybe I can delete just the folder instead of formatting. Plus did I get the flash list right with the bootloader/phone etc.:D

i get it. I just wonder why application menu always refresh whenever i open it.

To stop this, you have to Setup the Launcher.... To do so....

Menu > Preferences > Performance > UnCheck Lazy Mode ( Lazy Load Applications ).

Then you need to select>
Menu > Preferences > Screens > Orientation

Then, Last Step...
Load up the Terminal App.
type SU, Alway Allow... exit , exit...

That's it, all Fixed... I know it's a Pain, but once Done it's worth the effort. :D

The Launcher is not setup by Default and needs Configured :D

nvm** i fixed it by putting the files in different order...

How the phone doesn't seems to start the download as usual... the program is stuck at setting up connection for the past 5 minutes... any thoughts?

just make sure when you do load them seperately, that you're always including the PDA each time, so in theory you're actually flashing the phone twice. BOOT + PDA and then PHONE + PDA.

crap =/ was i suppose to do that? I got the phone to flash and now im flashing pda

I know BH_man said to load boot/phone only once... is there harm to reloading them if your unsure if the 1st time worked?

it seems that my behold doesn't want to flash Phone... I flashed the bootloader then i got stuck on the behold II screen, i then pulled the battery and now im trying to flash the phone... but it wouldn't start =/

I'm 99% certain there is no issue with loading them more than once, but you don't *need* to. Once the Radio and Bootloader are updated they don't need to be touched again unless there is an update for them.

@BHMAN, How can I remove the Stock Android email app and replace with the Samsung one? I tried uninstalling (failed), so I deleted the Email.apk and pushed the SamsungEmail.apk and .odex from the TWIX release to system/app. That didn't work so I renamed them to Email.apk and odex (respectively) and it still doesn't work (black screen in both cases). I really need the Exchange access from the Samsung version, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your help, awesome work on this ROM

Hi everyone and special thanks to BH_Man and all of you. This is my first time installing a Custom ROM, so I've been digging through the forums trying to figure things out. The only question I have right now is how long does the process take. ODIN's timer just hit the 30 min mark and I want to make sure I didn't miss pressing something to start the download to the phone.

Thanks again:thinking:

I have done the above and rebooted the phone, but the application menu still refreshes every time I launch it, any idea?

Thanks!

Way too long! Never takes longer than 5 min it should be like 3-4 min. Unplug phone pull battery. Try a different USB port replace battery and try again
