yeah, so i went to my local "verizon" store yesterday to double check what time they opened, they told me
"9 o' clock, why?"
"the incredible comes out tomorrow"
"oh...well we probably won't see that till saturday, because we are only an 'authorized verizon retailer' "
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

now i have to scramble to see if there are any actual verizon stores around here that have some incredibles that aren't reserved.

So they will "definitely" be available in store today? I have to have a sales persons assistance since the Mifi I have is counting as a cell phone line for online orders. I just checked online and now the message says that phones ordered today wont ship till the 4th of May due to overwhelming demand.

I thought we're all on Android to get AWAY from Windows Explorer?

Astro allows you to see what is on your phone and SD card. It also allows you the backup your non-private applications to your SD card!

Backup assistant does not work with Smartphones. You have to go to store or export to a CSV and load into google.

Sorry if this has already been addressed. You can use backup assistance it is in your settings. I just happened to stumple apon it although it didn't bring my pic's over but everything else is fine.

Guys, I ended up in a different camp with regard to phone choice...but I spent ALOT of hours here. I enjoyed the information sharing, the rumors, the humors, and I learned a lot about smart phone technology in the process.

So what happened to the Picasa option in the Google account settings? I mean the ability to have Picasa web albums show up in photos section? On my wife's Droid running OS v2.1, it's there and she can see all her web albums in her Gallery. On my Inc, I don't even have Picasa as an option.
Any ideas? What am I missing? I have logged into my Google account and all my mail, contacts and calendars are syncing fine.

Not sure if anyone answered your question. (I'm playing catch up). I used My Back Up on my Eris and backed up apps & data on my SD Card and then swapped the card into my Incredible and everything transferred over flawlessly!

Great!! I'm move from a Sprint Hero to the Incredible and plan on doing the same thing using MyBackup Pro.

Did you restore your Home Screens and settings?

How weird is it to go to VW.com and see that new splash page....we've come such a long way from one or two blurry shots, to leaked manuals, to a gorgeous, detailed fully loaded info page....quite exciting, and I think the page is very well done, too! Some nice info, and great animations paired with lots of info (That we already know, but hey...LOL Not EVERYONE can spend all day on Android Forums like us. ;-) )

You should have no problem with that. I left a note yesterday with my name, address, tracking number, and signature and they left it without any issues. The phone is sweet I love it!

I usually just leave a peice of paper saying "Attention Driver, please leave package. [name]. Signature: X________________ " And it works every single time.

so it seems some bad news for myself. I ordered the phone on Sunday and it I got the tracking number for it on Monday but it sat in Memphis until yesterday evening. Now its in Greensboro, NC which is still about 3 hours by car from here. Usually it will go overnight to Wilmington then to my house, but as of 8:42am its still sitting in Greensboro's sort facility so I'm thinking I wont get to see this phone until Saturday(I'm out of town tomorrow).

Would Verizon issue a credit for not keeping their word should it not show up today?

mine didnt reach the local fed ex facility until 8:59am yesterday and then was put on local truck for delivery at 9:02

It say in Atlanta for 28 hours prior to that.

Just give it time. I bet your hitting the refresh button on that fedex page.

And then there are those of us who will wait for a week or two after the release and get it for $99 on Amazon or Wirefly.

I'd just like to say I told you so. Although I wasn't exactly right, Wirefly has the Incredible for $149 today and Amazon has it for $99. Yes, I realize that some people got $99 because of NE2, but I am switching over from AT&T. By waiting until today, I will be saving $100 and have the phone almost as soon as those who paid $200.

Got mine yesterday and I love it! It will take some getting used to as I am new to the smartphone world, but it will be worth it!!

And I did get to share that 'Whoa!" moment yesterday when I took it to a Verizon store for accessories, too bad no one in my town had received them yet.

Have not been a part of the forum long, I spent the last few months watching the bug-ridden X10 and only stumbled across the Incredible a few weeks ago while salivating over the gorgeous Desire. I am so glad I kept looking =)

Although it has been said many times before, THANK YOU to all that made the thread what it is and I look forward to the coming weeks learning more about my using new phone from you all!
