Remote Control Android Stick PC

I have a RK3066 android stick PC's. I'm looking for some way to be able to control the devices remotly. While I know AirDroid is one of the preferred methods of remote controlling an Android Device. I don't like the idea of putting the device's in the hands of a third party.

Ideally I was thinking a VNC server application that is compatible with UltraVNC's Repeater application. As the devices are behind a firewall and I would prefer not to have to open any ports.

You don't have to use their servers, Airdroid will function locally over your WiFi network. I've used Airdroid "offline" not connected to the internet, and it works just fine. All you do is just connect the browser to the IP address Airdroid indicates and you're good to go.

However you're intending to remotely control an Android outside of your own IP address range, i.e. not your router, and from the public internet. You can do port forwarding with the firewall or router, for whatever ports the particular remote app requires, that's not opening ports and your whole network. The router is automatically sending incoming data packets directly to the device in question, and nothing else. If you don't want to do that, then you'll have to rely on a third party's servers "in the cloud", e.g. Airdroid's servers.
