Is there a way to buy music?

Hey everyone, sorry if this is somewhere in the threads. I couldn't find it.

On my moto droid, there was an app called amazon marketplace I think. With it, you could easily buy music to play on the droid without having to sync to a pc with music.

I remember watching a reviewer's video that talked about how the incredible does not have the amazon app, and therefore, you will only be able to sync music--not buy. Is this true?

Is there no app that allows you to purchase from amazon anymore?

Thanks!

Amazon MP3 Store (shipped as a default app on the HTC Eris)

To install:

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Applications > and check the box for "Unknown Sources". This will allow you to install apps that didn't come from the Market.

2. Go to the Market and download a file manager (I'd recommend ASTRO File Manager).

3. Copy the attached .apk to your SD card (doesn't really matter where you put it - just put it someplace you'll remember it).

4. Using the file manager you downloaded in step 2, browse to the .apk file you copied and tap it.

5. You should be prompted to Open App Manager, from which you'll be able to install it.

6. Optionally, go to Menu > Settings > Applications > and uncheck the box for "Unknown Sources" to restore a level of security.

Note: you won't see updates for the app in the Market, because you didn't get the app from the Market.

Also, to uninstall the app (if you ever want to), you'll need to go to: Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications.

Is this program decent? Cause while I was searching for why it wasn't included, I came across a LOT of threads asking how to get rid of it cause is always running.
I've never had any real issues with it running unwanted. I haven't personally used the app much and probably won't install it (kinda glad they didn't include it by default) - but the general consensus from folks who do use it, is that it's pretty nice.

When I was physically putting music on my Eris, I tended to get my music from iTunes on my PC and copy it over to the phone (works great with non-DRM files).

Since I have a WHS at home with all my music on it anyhow though, I use Subsonic to stream from home to my Eris - and plan to do the same with my Inc. It's not free but it works really well for me.

Subsonic Music Streamer v1.2 Application for Android | Multimedia

EDIT: I believe the reason it was not included on the Inc is that it won't run from internal memory, and since the Inc wasn't supposed to come with an SD card, they left it off.
