Help Turn off phone update

I have read in several posts that people have turned off the phones ability to do updates for new software releases. With all the problems I keep seeing with Kit Kat I think I would rater wait to get the update. I have searched the forums and my Note 3 but can't seem to find out how to turn the updates off. Is there a way to do this and if so can someone let me know how? I have the AT&T Note 3.

After searching elsewhere I find that this can not be done. I just hope the bugs are worked out of Kit Kat before AT&T sends out the update. My phone runs really great and would hate to get this update and have problems.

Settings>General>About device>Software update>uncheck Auto update

Of course you no doubt have one of those weird network's [AT&T] proprietary OSs so it might not be there on your phone.

I with t-mobile, updated the first day and had no problems

Yes Simon, the AT&T version does not show that option. Go figure.

I did this so hopefully that will stop the update.
