Most pleasant surprise on the Incredible?

So I just received my Incredible today like many of you and wow, just wow. I love this thing! There are many, many great things about it from my early impression but what about you? What were you most pleasantly surprised about once you started playing with yours?

For me I was very surprised at the quality and volume of the speaker. This thing sounds beautiful for one single speaker. Iphone's don't even get close to the beauty of this speaker. I was expecting it to sound tinny and dull but this thing is loud, full and vibrant. I know that I made the right purchase for sure.

My surprise is how awesome the voice search and voice to text works. I've had voice commands on my last 4 phones probably and never used it because it sucked. The Incredible can handle almost anything you throw (or yell) at it. I think this will really help people new to touchscreen typing.

YMMV though with different dialects, tones, etc. Speak clearly and test it out.

Coming from Windows Mobile 6.1...

1. Text correction worked better than I expected (coming from resistive screen, not used to type on capacitive screen).
2. Snappy action, and beautiful screen.
3. Not as big as I feared, about the same dimension as my old Omnia 1, just bit taller.
4. Battery is lasting longer than I expected, should last whole day. (charged only once)

What is not so pleasant surprise:

1. First attempt at encoding video failed, sound comes out, but no video.
2. Swiping direction and screen movement is... backward. I wish there is a way to change that (especially with ACV).
3. Cannot transfer file from microSD card to built-in storage (if there is, let me know).
4. Wallpaper resolution is not 960x800. Seems like many others and I jumped the gun. When I tried to set the picture as wallpaper, it shows green crop line, with no ways to zoom in/out.

Edit:
3. Some people pointed about Astro File Manager (or something like that), I haven't used that app yet, and not sure if I want to as Beta version is going to expire in few months (will it be paid-app after that?)
4. Wallpaper resolution IS 960x800. I did not know about being able to zoom out the green box until someone mentioned that I have to put my finger on the corner of the green box. Now it is as good as golden.

1. What software,/settings were you using? Are you sure it is supported?
2. Do you mean with the trackpad? If so, think of it as operating an invisible mouse. Or just don't use it since the touchscreen rocks.
3. Don't know about on phone. Maybe try Astro file manager. Otherwise, plug into PC, mount card, see two removable storage drives, swap files from there.
4. It is the right resolution. When you see the green box, put your finger on the edge and arrows will appear. Drag the box to the edge of the photo.

coming from the moto droid most things were not surprises but just expected....but i guess the most surprised features were:
1. FM radio is pretty slick and feature rich. also can be played through the phones speaker...of course the headphones still have to be plugged in for an antenna.
2. the camera...i was skeptical after using the subpar cameras of the storm and moto droid but this one seems to really be a notch above.
3. sense ui exceeds my expectations.
4. everyone boasts about this phone and that phones browser speed but.....WOW

that's all i can think of right now...still early,1st cup of coffee...

Browser speed to me is the most suprising. I was using the droid OC to 800mgz and it was pretty quick. But the INC is so much faster. Even when I am not on 3G pages render right away.

Yeah this is pretty nice. My Moto Droid was overclocked to 1.3GHz and the Incredible is still much faster at loading/rendering webpages.

I also like that I can actually use the wi-fi in my phone for a change. My Motorola Droid liked to drop wi-fi literally every 5 minutes. I still have my Droid and there are some things I still like about it (hello multicolored LED notifications) but I think it may be finally time to put it on Ebay.

anyone notice the signal strength indicator, has your signal/reception weaken, i seem to have less bars compared to my other phones in the same location.

I receive/make calls and with no problem, so is the indicator/signal giving a false reading.

In both of the Verizon stores I was in yesterday, the Incredible had only 1-2 bars, vs. the Droid's 3-full. Signal "strength" was at -88dBm to -92dBm, vs. -74dBm to -77dBm with the Droids. I noticed similar situation with the HTC Touch Pro 2 on AT&T vs. the Motorola Q (I always had full bars for the most part) where the TP2 would drop from full bars, to half bars, just by moving it a few inches.

It wouldn't be an issue so much, as long as calls stay connected, and at a higher bandwidth (per signal strength), but in low signal areas, the battery drains so much faster. My mom's house is 2 miles from me, and a less than 2 miles from (2) different Verizon stores, and my fully charged Droid almost completely drained from full, in just under 4 hours, while idle. The Droid would vacillate from 1 bar, to none, every few seconds.
