My phone reads: 5h 32m 55 s since unplugged. And its at 5% now.

Isn't this abnormally low? I used it somewhat frequently but not all the time or heavily by anymeans. Also, GPS and wifi and bluetooth were all off using the android power control widget. WTH?

My battery usage shows: 42% android system, 25% camera (i took like 10 pics, nothing crazy), 13% cell standby, 12% display, 6% phone idle, 2% robo defense.

This is after charging overnight to 100%

And i've had the phone since thursday, so its like the 4th charge cycle.

Is my battery defective? I read the other threads about low battery life but this seems BEYOND low, this seems defective. Am I wrong?

EDIT: I also use ATK to kill tasks when i'm not using them.

3 things helped me a bunch...

1st, menu.. settings.. wireless&networks.. check airplane mode, wait 10 seconds, and uncheck it..

2nd, a member named w0rdie said something that has also helped.. do this..
Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks (second one) > Enable Always-On -- checked by default, I unchecked it.

3rd, in the tips and tricks section, there is a post titles gsm vs cdma for batt..... member AJ McKay said to do this..
1) Go to dialer, put in *#*#4636#*#*
2) Press Phone Information
3) Press Menu, and pick Select Radio Band (ITS NORMAL TO GET A FORCE CLOSE)
4) Go down and change GSM Auto(PRL) to CDMA Auto (PRL)

THESE 3 THINGS HAVE REALLY HELPED MY BATTERY LIFE. Before this, I was getting 5 hours on a charge.

I woke up at 10, unplugged my phone. It's now 4, and I'm still green (a little under 50%). I played 2 games of Robo Defense, synced Backup Assistant, factory reset (because there was no other way to get rid of Backup Assistant), redownloaded and reinstalled everything... and here I am now.

So basically you're saying that you used your phone heavily for 6 hours and you're still at 50%? See this is why I think there is something wrong. I didnt even get 6 hours!

Also, I will try your suggestions spy21der as soon as my phone charges again. Its off and plugged in. I wont turn it back on for a few hours till its completely full then i will try again.

Also spy21der, is calling *#*#4636#*#* similar to calling #224 or whatever it is that gets you reinitiated with towers?

I have not gone a full day with my settings like this.. I woke up this morning and within 10 minutes, My battery was at 90% so i searched these forums cause I knew I had to do something.
After re-charge and changing those things, 1.5 hours my phone was at 92%. I plugged it back in to put music on it so I don't know how it did after that. I don't know if doing what I said is the same as #224. I bet not cause when you do what I did, it doesn't call anyone, it takes you to some advanced settings.
