The more I use this phone, the more the back cover seems to flex/warp. There are multiple points along the joint line that don't sit flush, and when I hold it in my hand, it softly pops in and out of place when pressure is applied. Talk about feeling cheap in the hand.

The phone is great, but the design choice here is unacceptable. As far as I can tell, Verizon was heavily involved in the design here - a fact that doesn't surprise, as they have a horrible design aesthetic.

Dear wireless carriers,

Let the phone makers make the phones.

Same here, it feels quite sturdy to me. I'm not having any backplate issues. It does its job.

I personally also really love the design of the Incredible. It's "incredibly" unique, which is getting harder and harder to find now since everyone is looking to just have a big screen on the front and a plain back.

Maybe you're just upset with the design, but I like it.

I don't know about any flex/warp, I've only opened the back twice (once for battery, and once for microSD card) and it's been fine. Perhaps you haven't been using enough pressure to secure the back into place?

I just got a gradient case yesterday, so this problem is unlikely to occur with me.

I agree with the OP to some extent.

The phone feels a little fragile in general. I bought the hard plastic case for it and it definitely makes me feel a little more comfortable.

For phones that cost hundreds to replace they should make them a little more studier.

I remember the good old days when I could drop my phone 10 times a day and it wouldn't skip a beat :)

Maybe just my phone, or maybe it hasn't happened to you yet.

only one way to figure this out.

Go to a verizon store and play with the display model.

If its better than your back cover, get it replaced.

To me its more of a nitpic than an actual issue, even if it slightly pops when you hold it.

Unless this is a deal breaker for you, then for you.. yes indeed it does suck.

;)
