Good News for F6 USERS!!!!!

Unless T-Mobile or MetroPCS want to release it, no.

If Europe is going to receive it we will most likely get it. We already received 3 updates for our variant of the the phone. Why on earth wouldn't the carrier let LG release another update. Exactly it doesn't make sense. It's still not certain but your answer sounded so negative lol. :banghead:

LG does it quite often. I remember they promised to release GB for Optimus One but ended up releasing it for select handsets in select regions. Optimus V never got the update.

Haha yes LG infamous through their reputation of never updating their handsets. That is all true but as a user brought up before all the rumored handsets on that list received the update the Optimus F line up is last. And since all 3 variants of our device are on that list and one has been confirmed to receive the update. My gut tells me this time it will be different. After Europe gets the update in a matter of a month or 2 we should receive it.

Lol guys all we can do right now is wait out the quarter, who knows maybe LG has changed when it comes to update or maybe they're still the same old dirtbag but we'll know for sure in less than 10 weeks lol. BTW if they released the source code then that means one of two things. The OTA already started rolling out a few days/weeks before or it will start to roll out in a few days/up to 2 weeks.

4.4.2 on my HTC one had the option to install apps on SD card..... Maybe? Or maybe it will break link2sd and well be f**k :b

Some manufactures incorporate that feature into the phone it's not necessarily the version of Android. I had Huawei ICS phone which had that feature I could use my sdcard just as if it was my internal storage. And I was able to move every single app I had with Titanium back up. Unlike what LG did with this phone where we only have 1.27 GB memory. Are they f***ing mental? Give the phone barely any space and limit the features of expandable memory. Anyway it is our fault for supporting them and buying this phone. Yes it is a decent phone besides the storage issue but what gives?

They'll just want us to buy their flaships, that's why the late updates, and low support. I only bought this phone because my htc one broke and I needed a phone ASAP and I don't have a job :( but its a nice phone... Storage for me is no complain but I really need kitkai, or I'm throwing this phone to the trash, even my lumia 810 got windows 8.1 -.-

not an issue if you can root the phone.

Not an issue? I'm not even going to bother with you... Link2sd is far from perfect, sure it works but obviously built in support to emulate a sdcard as internal storage is 100 times better. And the swap script resets itself after a certain amount of reboots meaning after sometime it f**ks up and shows the sdcard as both internal and external. Not to mention smanager which I personally edited the script for it to work without smanager.

Finally guys! The F6 in Singapore with the 8mp cameras are rolling with the kitkat. Its not for the d500 and the ms500 but it seems quite compatible with the American F6s. https://www.lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensourceList?types=ALL&search=f6

Ironically, I thought that LG would release the updates first to where there are the biggest crowd of this phone but I guess not.

Remember, its not an update for our phones yet. Its for D505!

I mean if someone can port it or even dissect it so that it can be usable for our phones even before it's (probably) going to be released, go for it!

And also, someone above said something about how the Kitkat's performance and Jelly Bean's performance does not differ very much. But if you look at the differentials a bit more closely, there are certain benefits that our 1gb ram phones can have such as the minimalist ram environment (<512mb) and much more crisp and more rounded user experience.

Android L is rolling out soon and I know there is just no way LG is going to support that. Still, I will be very grateful for getting out of the JellyBean rubbish :smokingsomb:
