Dropbox App - Issue uploading pictures

Dropbox on the Android isn't quite as easy on the desktop (or the iPhone as I look at the help).

1) Go to where you want the file to be in Dropbox (on the phone)
2) Click Settings button then Upload
3) Locate the file to upload it

Does that help? Honestly, I don't use Dropbox to upload to my phone as much as downloading.

Another tip: It's nice to have a syncable text file everywhere. I can type in my grocery list (saved to Dropbox) and it's wherever I am. No more forgetting the list!

That worked. Thanks. I was under the impression that it would upload pictures automatically if taken while Dropbox was running. The pictures went to the Dropbox folder on the sd card but they didn't upload. I guess you have to manually upload each one.

good advice..

I use the hell out of DB across all 5 of my computers, love it. but the Droid app was weak and minimal storage - unless you paid $2 - so I bailed on it as I don't see much usage for it on the Droid because the things I use across computers and numerous and interchangeable while that is rare for the Droid. so I just mount it as a drive on my computer when I actually need to put stuff on it or take stuff off.

So what of this from the Android info pdf that the app puts in your Dropbox:

Photo/Video Uploads
Launch your phone’s built-in camera while running Dropbox and your photos and videos will upload to your Dropbox instantly. When you use this feature together with Dropbox shared folders, these files are synced to your friends’ and family’s computers instantly!

Is this broken?

Still have some files (pictures) listed in the Dropbox app that I've deleted from my Dropbox on my laptop. I also removed them from the SD card but the app still shows them present, although I can't open them. Refreshing and rebooting the phone didn't help either.

Edit: Deleted and reinstalled the app and that fixed it.

Edit, Edit: Well, it's back to the original behavior - take a picture using the Dropbox menu and it doesn't upload. Oh well, maybe it's my phone but it's still pretty cool to have access to files I've added from my other machines. I doubt I'll ever really sync from the phone to Dropbox much anyway.

Worked for me http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6846126/2010-05-07-11-19-06.jpg
I just went to a folder in my drop box hit menu upload then take new pic. Took about 30 seconds for it to upload.

Edit:

Sorry i did not read through every post above, i see you got it working.

Now I finally have my password system fully synced. Here's what I did: Install Keepass and Dropbox on everything I use (Home PC, Work PC, and now Droid). Put your Keepass database IN Dropbox. It will sync it (and back it up) on their secure server. Now I always have my passwords with me, no matter where or what I'm on.

I am running keepassdroid and the dropbox android app on my HTC Hero

Is there a way to edit the keepass file on the phone and re-sync to dropbox? I am not sure this is possible unless you delete the keepass file from the web interface first, which is a big hassle of course.

Please advise if I have this wrong.
