Help Push gmail?

This might be a silly question, gmail.is supposed to be pushed to the Incredible correct? I am using the HTC mail widget for my pop work account and the gmail icon for gmail. But email seems much slower to reach the gmail account. Also when I send emails out the.gmail takes considerably longer.

do you have it setup for IMAP or POP?

Do you have the sync turned on for those email accounts(or do you have it set to POLL)?

I have it set for IMAP

Sync is turned on, but I thought if it was push I didn't need it turned on
