handler and 1.4.8 update

have a rooted cliq (handler exploit) and it keeps popping up that it wants to update to 1.4.8 and gives me the download now or later buttons.
and that it will do it automatically in 1 hour.
will this brick my phone if i accidentally leave my wifi on during the night and it tries to update?
can i make it go away?

just got one this morning and the DL failed. When I went to reboot it fail. Had to do a nandroid restore.

im almost positive he has a ROM for the 1.4.8 update...im searching now for it. He posts here alot. If u find it post it. Im sure reg updates are not ganna work with custom stuff

Ok, I was an idiot and ran the accidentally ran the update on my cliq with handler 1.5. Now I cant do anything... am I screwed?

the requests to update seem to have passed... i was always able to catch it before it downloaded.

I was on Handler 1.5 and couldnt update and when i went back to stock it wudnt update so i used KB7SQIs rom which I guess is a good developer according to these forums.
