EVO or Wait for the Galaxy?

Now that I have a date for the EVO the question is, should I pull the trigger on it or wait for the Galaxy. Could even be the Galaxy Pro (crosses fingers). What are your thoughts?

Galaxy has that sweet sweet Super AMOLED screen AND 802.11n, both of which are a +. It also has the LAYAR stuff and DNLA.

1) depends if you want an iphone with a better screen. if you do, then the galaxy is for you.

2) are you talking about the layar augmented reality browser? that's in the android market and available for any android phone that wants it, not the galaxy alone.

i was told that the galaxy s was going to be a gsm phone only. i could be wrong. so unless u have or are planning to go to att or tmobile, its pointless. but i would still consider the galaxy s a lesser phone. just my 2 cents lol.

After owning two samsung PDA devices, Sammy isn't getting my money for a long time. HTC on the other hand, I'm still in love with my entire winmo lineup, and pretty much anything HTC puts out.

The Galaxy is getting an unfair branding. It's UI is much more similar to Sense than people realize. The part that looks like an iPhone is only for where the apps are on the phone...otherwise it has homescreens, widgets, etc.

It seems to be the hardware issues that are the problem. I really did have faith they would fix the worst bug on my moment with 2.1, but they didn't, and now they won't see my money again.

The way I see it the EVO and the Galaxy S are almost the same phones, except.... EXCEPT, for 3 things. These three things are:

1) the Galaxy has no flash for it's camera. The EVO does.

2) The Galaxy has a 4.0 in screen. The EVO has 4.3 in.

3) The Galaxy doesn't have 4G connectivity. The EVO does.

I'm sure there are additional minor differences, but the above 3 are the major ones.

The Galaxy does feature a dedicated GPU (which I don't think will give it a big advantage because nothing will take advantage of it, but to most its a big feature). And the screens are much more different than just size...its TFT LCD v Super AMOLED which is supposed to be amazing.

Until they implement reflective screens into the AMOLED like in pixelqi, they absolutely suck in sunlight.

the galaxy s youtube vids show the device in the sunlight and it's supposed to be really good

I'm still doubtful of Samsung build quality. My finance's instinct, and my moment have left a really bad taste in my mouth eh?

The moment is a great phone, and it's powerful. That's why I bought it. But it's biggest flaw (airplane mode) outweighs all the power and utility the phone gives me.

4) EVO exists, the Galaxy doesn't (yet)

maybe, but the phone physically looks a ton like the iphone, too. the earpiece and body is a spitting image of the iphone.
