Help EVO vs Moment questions?

I am eligible to upgrade, but I want to get some opinions before I decide. I will not purchase or pre-order the EVO either before it has a few weeks to settle in and also monitoring others experiences. My concern is that some of my gripes with the Moment my not be corrected or addressed with HTC either.

- Anyone here have HTC experience as far as durability and dependability vs Samsung Moment. Physically and structurally to me, the Moment has been great, want the same from EVO/HTC

- GPS, my Moment sucks, what experiences have others had with comparable HTC phones vs say Blackberry which works wonderfully for us

- Out of Range service beeps, these on HTC phones or just the Moment

- CDMA lockups, On my Moment they are more recurring now with 2.1 than before. IS there any reports of this with the HTC phones

Hate not having a keyboard (EVO), but these things actually are distractive enough for me to consider a replacement.

Though that thread ended up nowhere. Reason : Nobody knows anything about the EVO yet, only some speculation from previews. And you can use search function for problems you are having with the Moment here, they have been discussed to the ends of the earth, I promise.

Thanks, missed that thread. Although I titled thread EVO, generally just was looking for HTC details and how they compared to Samsung things. Thx for the link.

There is no comparison. The EVO owns all/thread. I have an upgrade available and can get the EVO but I'm not willing to pay $10 bucks more a months since I don't live in a 4G area.

Dreze, I was under the impression that you could opt out of the 10 dollar fee and get a 3G only plan??? Dunno if that is true or not or if we even know.

Ummm, what gets better gas milage - the 2008 Honda Accord or the 2013 Ferrari? Really, well what goes faster? What looks nicer? Which one is more expensive?

The Evo is a 4.3" Monster phone that is coming out in 2010. The Evo features new technology that has never been found on the market before. It will be running Sense over 2.1. It features a soft keyboard only, amazing video and a snapdragon processor that will run the most current apps quickly and efficently.

The Moment is an 2008 design, running a sub-performing Samsung designed processor. It features a about 1/2 the memory of the Evo. It also has an underperforming camera, limited room for future expansion (2.1 will be the last update this phone will see) and is already on the replacement block with the M910 coming soon.

This "Which Phone Is Better" thing is getting so old. Everyday something new is announced and it's better than the one before. When the 2nd generation WiMax stuff is launched, the Evo will be old hat as well. Rumors point to LG or HTC launching a Tegra2 or 8250A running at 1.3Ghz with GB of RAM. Just wait till Christmas!

Samsung sucks at supporting its devices. Only thing I can tell you, take it for what its worth. Reason I wont be getting a Galaxy!!!

TV's on the other hand, Samsung isn't bad but then again I don't know how good their TV support is either!!!

The color on my Samsung went out after 15 years of use. Never had a service problem with it before that.
