My Incredible arrives tomorrow (finally!).

How much memory does it have for installed apps?

I've been going through appbrain and already have selected 41 apps for 57MB and I'm just getting started.

What's the limit?

When Froyo comes out, we can install apps to the SD card? Will that allow us to install more apps?

IIRC there's around 404 megs we can use now, though the phone has more that should be accessible soonish. Also, yes...with Froyo you should be able to install to the SD card, so plenty of room there.

Basically, you're looking at enough room for too many apps, at around 400 depending on each apps size. Now, having 400 apps would likely cause other issues, so I do not recommend installing that many:)

Space wise you won't into any issues. However, I have read in other posts that once you get above 80 or so apps, the phone gets wonky. Several different people have reported this issue. I'm only running about 60 or so apps, so I haven't seen the issue myself.

To clarify, updating to Froyo will not automatically allow apps to be installed to external media. The decision on whether or not an app is installable to the sd card is ultimately up to the dev's of the individual apps.
