ugh..memory card again

so yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinkin ok whatever (since its the norm now). when it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. something like that

so again, its crapped out another card..i would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement, but im PISSED. its been just fine, now everything is gone again..yea i know i should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not somethin that i always remember to do.

i had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as i didnt know which one i wanted and was rearranging icons..now i cant use either. i was checking for a schedule online..cant get that either, ugh

This a generic(ie non-branded) card? From what I've experienced and read is those who have brand name cards dont seem to have this issue. My phone came with a Samsung branded card and have never had any issues with it.

i have a no name class 4 one that works fine. As long as it is class 4 or class 6 you will be fine.

Thats after market though. I could be wrong but I believe we were talking about the stock cards shipped with the phone, but yeah class 4 or higher us outstanding but I'm using a 4 gb class 2 with no problems either and i also had no issues with my samsung branded 2 gb. just sharing my experience.

Not necessarily. I had a class 4 16GB one that didn't work. It probably all about the individual card quality. I have 4 that work, one that doesn't.

thanks guys, the orginal card is a samsung..how do i find out what class it is, i dont think i know where the card adapter is.

this other one is a sandisk

can anyone point me in the direction of the recovery programs..are they pretty easy to do?

sandisk is always class 2. Its trash.

The Samsung I believe is class 4.

oh ok..well i never had a problem i just have them for pics...this sandisk had no problems in my blackjack or the behold(1)

There is no recovery....... it formatted the card think of it like flashing your phone.

It deletes everything.

i hope 1.6 upgrade will fix the class 2 16GB SDHC "not seeing" problem.
