iphone 3gs plays mp4 better than EVO?

Me and my brother bought the EVO and his gf has an iphone 3gs. So they both loaded the same mp4 file on their phones and played them back side to side for comparison. He said that the video looked better on the 3gs than the EVO. Any reasons this is so? Thanks.

Excuse me, but I am not a troll. I love my EVO and i was actually trying to defend our phone to my brother as to why this was the case (for example, the mp4 file might be low resolution, so looks better with the smaller screen on the iphone). Can anyone figure out why the mp4 video supposedly looked better on the iphone? Does it have anything to do with the number of colors the EVO screen can display vs the iphone? I need an answer so I can call my brother and explain lol.

Yea, I did ask him what the resolution was, and he didn't know. But he did tell me it was a really small file (so I told him AHA! that means low resolution). I also told him to use an mp4 file that was made for 480x800 and then tell me which one looks better. He said he will try.

One thing did throw me for a curve. He said "the colors looked better." Does this have something to do with the color rendering of the EVO vs iphone? This sucks, because it pisses me off thinking his gf now thinks her 3gs is better than our phone! ARRR!

God can you people stop throwing the word troll around? I am genuinely trying to explain why he experienced what he did. I still think our phone blows the iphone 3gs out of the water, but I need to figure out how to get my brother and his gf to test out which one plays an mp4 video better. Any suggestions?

Was one choppy or was it color/contrast/sharpness?

Just because the file was small doesn't mean the resolution was. You could have a 1024x768 video that is 5 seconds that is smaller than a 640x480 video that is 30 seconds - make sense?

Post the video up and let us judge ourselves (many of us own both too).
