New to Android and Droid? Must-Have Software and Apps!

This thread is to be a collective list of must have software, and apps for the Droid and the Android OS. A guide for new users to the Android operating system, like myself, who don't know what doubletwist is, or have no idea how to use this system.


Please post your suggestions, or tips and tricks to go with an already-suggested piece of software or app.

PC Software:
Music Syncing Software
- doubleTwist
Use this itunes-like program to sync your Droid music and your PC
music! Very cool program!

Apps
Music Software, Players and Streamers.
pandora: A free app, allowing you to stream music to your droid, to include popular bands!!
Last.fm: Another free app, doing the same as pandora. Suggested as well, you can decide for yourself which you like better!
Shazam – Ever wonder who sings that song. This does that flawlessly

Misc Very Useful Apps
Locale: Allows you to set certain settings depending on your location. Vibrate in school, All sounds off at work. The list goes on!!
My Verizon - easy access to your account
Wifi On/Off - adds a widget to let you turn Wifi on/off with one click
Astro - File manager for the Droid
Wapedia - Wikipedia program.

Weather Apps
Weather Bug: Weather app that adds a widget in the notification area for temperature

Games
Solitaire. Speaks for itself. And free.
Sudoku Free and Open Soduko. Also free.

Last.fm - like pandora but better IMO
Wifi On/Off - adds a widget to let you turn Wifi on/off with one click
Google Sky Map - shows you what stars, constelations, etc. you are looking at in the sky
My Verizon - easy access to your account
Weatherbug - weather ap that adds widget in the notification area for temperature
Solitaire - card game
Sudoku Free and OpenSudoku - two free sudoku games

PS. These are all free because I'm a cheapskate.

In regards to the WiFi ON/OFF app.. the Droid does have a Power widget which is a strip with wifi, bt, gps, sync and display all single touch on the home screen.

i want a better twitter app! but twidroid is the best... i want one that has multiple accts with out costing me cash! i guess for now i will dl twidroid and swift to have more than one acct working!
