First your phone must be rooted and have ClockWorkMod Custom Recovery installed.
If it's not, you can go through this guide:

Guide: Root and install ClockWorkMod custom recovery on LG P690 (Optimus Net / Link / Spirit)

After rooting and installing CWM, you can go further.

Nandroid Backup
----------------------

1. Boot into recovery by holding down Home + Vol Up + Power keys together about 5 seconds.

2. You must perform an Nandroid Backup, if something goes wrong, you can restore your phone.
(You can also revert back to Stock ROM by just restoring that nandroid backup. For more info, see the 'Rolling back to Stock ROM' section.)

3. To perform Nandroid backup, go to 'Backup and Restore' menu and select 'Backup'.
You should have at least 600 MB free on SD to store backup. If not free up some memory and take the backup.

4. After performing the backup, move the 'clockworkmod' folder to safe place from you SD like a PC.

Installing the ROM
----------------------

1. In recovery Main Menu, select Wipe data/Factory Reset and confirm it on next screen.

2. Main menu > Wipe cache partition > 'Yes'

3. Main menu > Advanced > Wipe Delvik-cache > 'Yes'

4. In main menu, select 'Install ZIP from SD Card' > 'Select ZIP from SD Card' > Install all 5 ZIPs in this order:
(1) CYANOGEN 7.2.1 BY KD(C).zip
(2) GApps.zip
(3) FIX_1.zip
(4) FIX_2.ZIP
(5) NANI_KERNEL.zip

5. Reboot.

NOTE: It migh take some time to boot after installing the ROM because you just changed the OS of your phone! Be cool!

Rolling back to the stock ROM:
---------------------------

1. You must have an Nandroid Backup of your stock ROM.

2. Copy the backup folder 'clockworkmod' to your SD Card.

3. Boot into recovery by holding down Home + Vol Up + Power keys together about 5 seconds.

4. In recovery Main Menu, select Wipe data/Factory Reset and confirm it on next screen.

5. Main menu > Wipe cache partition > 'Yes'

6. Main menu > Advanced > Wipe Delvik-cache > 'Yes'

7. Main menu > 'Backup and Restore' > 'Restore' > your backup > confirm restore

8. Reboot and..... old home is back. :p

Been running this ROM for a week now - I never knew how bloated the stock LG ROM was until running this!!!!!

I found it a little "glitchy" initially - but not anymore. Not sure what it was. I do have a different ADW launcher theme so that could be it.

Waaay more stable and efficient at RAM usage than the stock load. The stock LG ROM would get corrupted every month or so requiring a frustrating recovery reboot (erasing everything). I installed CWM to get around this - however also decided to try out this ROM. I'm guessing this ROM won't have the corruption problem.

LG p690B. Root, CWM, and Cyanogenmod-7.2.0-RC0-OptimusNet.by.kd-KANG Build number GWK74 install went well, no errors. But phone running out of memory, Google services are crashing. I'm unsure why. Wifi connects, I downloaded a small compass app from the Google Play store, which I moved to the SD card. Google errors: Sory, the application Browser (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force Close.

What is going on? I'm also getting a low on space error, but have not loaded any other apps. Pls help.
