Root Droid maxx 2 root, ROMs, xposed etc.

What would it take, research wise to get this started? There's gotta be a way. The LUX kernel has already been released by Motorola. recovery mode, and fastboot both work with the standard methods of operation. Hmm seems like I'm kicking a lot of dead horses. ;P we wouldn't even need an unlocked bootloader i'm sure if we could just manage some magic.

Not exactly 6.0.1, but for the moto x play, which is pretty much the Maxx 2.

theres' also this:

https://alephsecurity.com/2017/06/07/initroot-moto/

this line, still seems to cause a boot loop...

Code:
fastboot oem config fsg-id "a initrd=0x90000000,1766036"

citing text from aleph

That proved that the argument had been injected into the cedric kernel command-line. (With a similar result on athene)

Next we verified that we could control the initrd argument, which allowed us to force the Linux kernel to load initramfs from a specified physical address. We ran fastboot oem config fsg-id "a initrd=0x12345678,1234", expecting the kernel to crash afterwards. It indeed crashed!
on this phone.

Does that mean this can be done? Still if so, how do we go about gettting the correct values? And can we mess with the phone. ;) If not, has it been patched.. Why does messing with this tag value cause this phone to loop still if the bug isn't there. :3
