Is my Huawei P8 Lite lacking another feature?

Hi guys, recently bought a Panasonic car stereo with USB AOA 2.0 support. However when I connect my Huawei P8 Lite on Android 5.1 I can get the stereo to register 'Android' but the music still only plays through the phone speaker not through the stereo via the USB. I've tried music on the phone memory and also Spotify.

Does the P8 Lite support AOA 2.0?

Cheers

Hello and welcome to AF. I moved your post to the P8 Lite forum where other device owners will see it and hopefully chime in. I seem to remember not having any trouble with my P8 Lite streaming media through my stereo (uConnect on OEM Chrysler stereo). I'll need to look up AOA to understand what it is. I'll see if I can a) find one of my old P8's and b) pair it to my truck this weekend to test.

Maybe someone else has an answer in the meantime.

I had the same problem with my android phone and my pioneer car stereo until I found that pioneer makes an app to fix it. It just took a few seconds to download the app and switch it on and then my stereo detected the phone and started playing music from the music folder. The sound quality from my android is so much better than it was with my iPhone that it sounds as though I've installed an amplifier :) I should mention though that I'm unable to control the music from my phone, I have to navigate through the music folder using the car stereo which I don't mind and actually I like it better. For playlists I just make folders manually on my PC and drag and drop them into my android music folder.
