Help Phone wont connect to computer via USB

Transform Ultra with Megatron, USB won't connect evolves into will not charge unless the phone is off, evolves into yellow warning on boot with broken download custom os warning where vol up down don't work. Whole process takes a couple of months, and then I have to go into CWM and wipe everything. A full wipe brings it back, except it still won't connect to windows. It's not your pc or your cord or the phone's usb socket. I think it's a problem with the ROM. Can't find any working links for any roms for the TU so guess the party is over. Time to get a newer phone.

sometimes if its not the offical samsung cord that came with it..it will do that..try using a different chord...then a different usb slot..then a different pc..but more then likely your cord will be good to charge but not to transfer data
Thanks, it was the cord in my case (with a ZTE phone, I was using a cord I bought for both usb and ihone). With a proper usb cord I could connect to the PC.

Have you switched phones and have same name for device? I switched from a Samsung to LG4G, kept same phone name. New phone would not connect as there was one found in devices already (Windows 10). So I deleted the device, then reconnect phone (of course making sure all the above re data, media). Works just fine.

I read through this forum since I was facing a similar problem. I got my solution simply by changing the cable. As far as not finding the "usb connection" under "wireless and networks", that was my problem too. But I simply did a search in settings section by typing "usb computer connection" in the search bar in the settings section and the window (interface) simply popped up. There I was able to select the desired usb connection to my pc. I hope you would find this useful and it solves your problem. If not, please let me know your phone model and I will do a search for you. :)

I have a similar issue. The biggest difference is I Am using an alcatel tracfone that is google locked. I bypassed the frp, and use the sidebar app to avoid the lengthy start up XP. I can not enable the developer options, which means no usb debugging. When i plug the phone into a computer nothing pops up on the screen... any thoughts?

If nothing happens at all when you plug the phone into the computer, suggest you check the cable isn't duff. FYI some USB cables for phones are wired as charge only, and not for data.
