Well today i took over a phone contract for a work phone on a Virgin Mobile plan. Decided to root this phone like i did with my other S5 & Core Lte.
found a straight forward toutorial to follow and figured it was pretty simple. I Used the info and files provided by this link...
https://www.skyneel.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s5-neo-sm-g903w
Odin Failed and upon booting was greeted by a message "recovery is not seandroid enforcing'
i was able to flash the stock Firmwear i had for the S5 Neo SM-G309W from Virgin Mobile. and was able to restore my phone.
not sure what went wrong with this attempt to root, it did end up tripping my Knox which is notacable when booting to download, Knox x1
im not worried about the void warranty, but would like some feedback on why the root failed and how to go about rooting my device and installing a custom recovery in the process.
