    Do I need To ROOT , to update my X10 ?

    Hey Guys , i'm new to Android , i just purchased my new X10 . my question : do i need to root my X10 , in order to update to 2.1 ?? or just can i plug my usb cable and follow instructions to update to 2.1 ? (i mean instructions in the video by SE) appreciate your help.
