    Root Updating rooted 1.6 X10 to 2.1?

    I just successfully rooted my X10a, which is running firmware 1.6. I did not install the 2.1 update through Sony, because I have an AT&T phone, and so am not yet eligible for the update. I am wondering, what is the best way to upgrade to firmware 2.1? Do I have to debrand my phone to do so...

    Should I root my x10?

    Hi: I just purchased an X10. I know that I can update my phone to 2.1 without rooting it, but once I have updated it, will I still have to deal with Sony's alterations to the OS? Am I better off rooting it as well?
