Yesterday I rooted. I downloaded ROM Manger and tried to install CWRM from that app. I realize after reading that that was a mistake. So I tried pushing CWRM via Odin and it was successful (at least that's what it said in Odin). I thought it went well until I booted into recovery mode and...
I just finished rooting my Fascinate use the 2.1 method on androidcentral

How do I go about backing up my phone so that I don't mess it up in the future?
What should I do now?
I did this so I could get rid of the pre-installed bloatware apps...
I just bought a Fascinate. During phone calls my screens keeps going to power saver mode (black screen) during phone calls even when there is a lot of light and I'm holding it away from my ear. It's annoying. I have to repeatedly press the power button when I enter long numbers like credit...
My Firmware is 2.1-update1
Baseband: s:i500.04 V.EA28
Kernel:2.6.29
Which method is simplest and most compatible way for me to root? I need to get rid of this bloatware ASAP! Thanks!
The title says it all. I'm not sure if the update to DLO9 that I got this morning is related bc I used the phone all day. Basically, when I turn the phone on it boots to the Verizon animation, then the display turns off and the capacitive buttons remain lit. I just bought this phone...
Maybe I'm stuck in a Windows mindset, but it seems like I should be doing some sort of regular maintenance on my Droids software, like defrag it or something. Right now I just regularly delete any apps that I'm not using. I'm not rooted as well.
Is this type of maintenance necessary?
I still haven't received the 2.1 update yet, but I'm still unclear how updates affect rooted devices and vice-versa.
Does it matter whether I root my Droid before or after I receive an update? If so, what are the benefits?
Thanks
Has anyone had an issue with the Bluetooth on their Droid not turning on?
I've tried having applications turn it on and turning it on manually from the settings and still no success. Thanks for any input.
What's up with apps giving us fake deadlines for a free lifetime membership?? I downloaded WaveSecure and Documents To Go before their deadlines on Feb 1 and now WaveSecure extended it to March 31 and Docs To Go extended theirs to Feb28.
Ironically, WaveSecure doesn't work properly on my...
Are there any Droid users out there that are having trouble tracking and locking their phone with the WaveSecure? It backed up my info fine but it can't locate or lock my phone in both Firefox and IE. I installed Mobile Defense before I installed WaveSecure to test them both out but I've heard...
So, I was on the MobileDefense site and they said that having your GPS on really doesn't use any energy unless you have apps that are actually using them. I've had my GPS off this whole time thinking it would suck up my battery power running in the background. Can anyone shed some light on...
Are there any good image organizers for my android phone out there that are free? I'm not referring to apps that sync your computer and your android phone. I'm looking for an actual app that organizes the pics on my Droid that's customizable and doesn't throw everything into one big mess...
I like my DROID. Let me say that first off before anyone starts to get defensive. My previous phone was a used Blackberry 8700g off ebay that didn't even have a data plan. I've was reading about phones avidly the past few months just waiting for Nov 30 to arrive when my plan was up with Tmo...
