4G is faster than home DSL?

In the past I have downloaded new versions of Ubuntu Linux (typically 685 MB) via my home DSL connection and the download usually took between 45 minutes and an hour. Today I downloaded Ubuntu 11.10 (695.3 MB) via my carrier's 4G mobile hotspot and the download took 24 minutes. Mobile phones continue to impress me.

Yeah 4G is good stuff. It's not faster than my home Internet though. I have Verizon FiOS and I get 35mbps down, 25mbps up. I've seen people with FiOS in other areas of the country get 80mbps down, 60mbps up. Insane.

The upstream is nice for me because I can host sites and files, and others can grab it from me really fast.
