I have an idea for a new, awesome game. I'm not putting the plot out for fear of copy, but it's original. It's a first person shooter set in WWII and the year 19644. Now, your thinking "How can it be both?" there's time travel involved. And a war. A cataclysmic war that ravages the galaxy. If all goes well, I learn to program, and put this game on the Source Engine or Cryengine 3. Either one, not any other one(although I may do later versions of Cryengine(my favorite engine)). I know this sounds hard to do and unrealistic. But my time frame of completing it is approximatively 20 years.

WWII may be overdone, but it's in an alternate history WWII. Yes, set in 1939, but it has laser and giant robots and atom bombs that only destroy a city street. It's a really(mind my language) ****ed up 1939. And in this history, the Allies are losing the war. America entered in 1923, and Germany developed the laser in 1837. You use automatic weapons, laser guns, hovercrafts, and all sorts of shit that isn't supposed to be there.(Yes I know they automatic weapons in WWII. I don't think they had fully automatic pistols with attached mini nuke launcher, now did they?)

I still play that online all the time. I love the helicopter battle servers.

As for OP, it sounds totally overdone.

They are in the process of releasing a Bad Company 2: Vietnam game. I can't wait for it to drop.

ummm if you take that long you would have to start over again because it would be obsolete. If you really think your idea is that good then you should find someone who programing experience to work with
