Adult adverts

Am I alone in getting adult adverts when browsing the forum on my N5?

Hit one accidentally when scrolling which went down well with the wife with a screen of naked women and our young kids in the room!

That's determined by the site, not the phone. Some of those adverts pay the site owner well, so ...

I think Thom was asking what site you were viewing when you got the ad, not what site it was an ad for.

Not sure how ads are implemented here, but have you tried using Adblock? They have it for Chrome, Firefox etc?
I'll shoot this up the food chain to have Admin chime in

We're not big fans of porn advertising, as most of it would be likely to drive you towards malware, and it's incongruous with the image we strive to maintain.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience.

Admin and the owner will be looking in to this ASAP.

Last time this happened, the ad agency's feed was taken over by some porno gang in Europe, we didn't know until told.

Hi, Was on my Nexus 5 using the mobile version of the site in chrome.

The ads kind of "float" at the bottom of the screen and between posts, so I think I hit one as I was scrolling.

It was the only tab I had open at the time, and all the apps were ones I had on my HTC without any issues
