Help Alarm and Other Sounds Just Stopping

I have noticed that on occasion my alarm will not go off with sound... that is, it's going off, but only vibrating. I'm not hitting any special switches, it's the sound deciding not to work. I will also at this time occasionally have issues with playing things saved on the voice recorder.

I have only had the phone 3.5 months.

Is anyone else having this issue, and what do you do to fix it? Sometimes rebooting helps, sometimes not... and I'd really like to be able to rely on the alarm!

I've had my phone since early Dec. and haven't had either of those issues (so far). I have the alarm set to go off at least three days a week, to wake me up for work. I've also used the voice recorder to record the grandkids and use their voices for ringtones without issue.
