Am I on the newest firmware/software for Sprint?

Hello everyone newbie here first device thats android, I am wondering if I am on the newest firmware / software for my Hero (Sprint) I went to Settings / About Phone / System Updates etc .. downloaded a update... It now saysmy firmware version is 1.5 and software version is 1.56.651.2 not really sure but I thought I was reading people are on version 2.0 and higher not sure but anyway do Ihave to go to the Sprint website or the HTC website for the newer version if there is in fact one? Any help (with instructions please) would be greatly apreciated it thanks so m
