Android: Dream or LG eve

now im tired of iPhone 3GS. Its a great product and i love Apple. Just tired of apple everything around me. and also i love linux.
want to buy a android phone from rogers and im NEW to Android.
Both Dream and LG eve looks great, and i had owned a Android Dev phone 1 but abandoned because no capable 3G net in Canada.
Curious is LG eve better than Dream on CPU and screen? Because LG Eve is like more than a year later than G1.
If so, anyone can list the difference or give me any suggestion?
These are the two only machine i can get on Canadian Rogers Carrier. It SUX.

I think that the only downside of the eve should be the resistive touch screen. From any other point of view it should be better.

I would say go wit the Dream, seems to be the best phone for newcomers to Android
